I am a Mother of 2 and full time potter with a home based studio in Sonoma County.

I discovered my passion for pottery 13 years ago at San Francisco State University. I originally entered as an abstract sculpture artist, but changed my focus to functional ceramics within my first semester. I just loved the idea of being able to use my own art. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Ceramics in 2012 and have been pursuing utilitarian pottery ever since!

My current work includes 3 main collections - Speckled Tableware, Marbled Clay & Bare Clay - All thrown on the wheel, hand dipped in neutral gloss glaze and high fired in an electric kiln. I aim to emphasize the natural characteristics and color of the clay bodies. Many of my designs are inspired by the farmers market and curated for chefs to present their work on a natural/neutral palette.

The best way to view my work is to visit me at one of my events scheduled throughout the year in Sonoma County, including selective dates at The Healdsburg Farmers Market and The Trade at The Barlow in Sebastopol. I also hold an annual Winter Open Studio in Windsor, CA.

Care

Please enjoy using Hayes Ceramics! All made with stoneware clay, thrown on the wheel and fired in an electric kiln - safe for the oven, microwave & dishwasher. The glaze is a handmade recipe using materials curated for the pottery industry. LEAD FREE & CADMIUM FREE. If silverware marks show up on any matte glazes. they can easily be removed with baking soda or barkeepers friend. Stoneware should be treated like glass, and avoid temperature shock (going from a hot oven to a freezer)

Shipping

All packages are shipped through USPS with a provided tracking number. Please allow 2 to 8 business days. Standard $8 to ship, plus $3 for each additional item. I strive to ship my items with an eco-friendly method using recycled craft paper and honeycomb packing paper.

Curbside Pickup

Free service, I will reach out to you through email with pick up details including date, general timeframe, and address in Windsor, California. I prefer pick ups to be complete within 7 days, but please reach out to me if extra time is needed. You can make a time request during the checkout process, but please wait for an email confirmation before coming to pick up.

Return Policy

Your satisfaction with my product is important! Unfortunately Hayes Ceramics is not able to offer a full refund, but we can make arrangements for an exchange within 30 days of purchase. You are responsible for additional shipping charges. I do not accept exchanges on custom orders. To be eligible for the exchange, I must receive the original product undamaged. Please note all Pottery is handmade - size shape, and glaze results will slightly vary from the product photo. If you have a specific request, you are welcome to reach out in the comment section of the checkout process, I will do my best to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee.

Shipping Damage

My apologies for any inconvenience, I strive to pack each item safely! If your product arrives broken, please email me a photo within 5 days of receiving the package and keep the damaged item with the original packaging until the claim has processed. Tableware@HayesCeramics.com. I will initiate the claim and email you with the next step. USPS requires you submit a photo AND to bring in the damaged item with the original packaging to be inspected. If you are unable to bring the damaged in, you may use the provided return label to ship the item back to me in the original packaging. You may even schedule a free package pickup through USPS if you are unable to transport the package. Your pottery will be replaced and shipped for FREE. Please note all Pottery is handmade and might not be in stock. There could be a delay for a few weeks while creating a replacement. I will make sure to communicate all details with you.

Lost/Stolen Packages

Hayes Ceramics is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages.

Wedding/Gift Registries

Holiday Orders

Items typically take 3 to 4 weeks to complete. Holiday orders can present a much longer and unpredictable timeframe. Specific request and large orders, especially wholesale orders, are greatly appreciated in October or earlier.
